Three steps to a score

01Pick your test

Choose the set that matches what you are studying for: the NHA CPT, ASCP PBT, NCCT or AMCA credential, or a format-specific drill set.

02Answer the questions

Each set is drawn fresh from a bank of real-style questions written from public phlebotomy standards (CLSI, OSHA). Choose an answer and you see immediately whether it is right.

03Read the explanations

Every answer comes with the reasoning — the order of draw, tube additive or safety rule behind it — so you learn while you test.

Common questions

Is this an official phlebotomy site?

No. This is an unofficial practice site for studying. Phlebotomy technician certification is issued by organizations such as NHA, ASCP BOC, NCCT and AMCA, and official certification is only available through their own channels. This site only offers free practice questions for studying.

How many questions are on the NHA CPT exam?

The NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam has 100 scored questions plus 20 pretest (unscored) items. Your score is based on the 100 scored questions. (Per NHA's published exam information.)

How many questions are on the ASCP PBT exam?

The ASCP Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) exam has 80 multiple-choice questions with a 2-hour time limit. (Per ASCP BOC's published exam information.)

What is the order of draw?

Blood culture → light-blue (citrate) → red/gold (serum) → green (heparin) → lavender (EDTA) → grey (fluoride). It prevents additive carryover from one tube to the next (CLSI GP41).

Do I need to create an account?

No. The quiz runs entirely in your browser — questions are loaded with the page and answers are scored locally. Nothing is uploaded and no account is required.

What topics are covered?

Core phlebotomy topics: order of draw and tube additives, patient identification, venipuncture technique, specimen handling and rejection, and OSHA safety rules.
